Thalictrum kiusianum is a tiny meadow rue, being a small mat of dainty, fern-like foliage from which lavender-blue flowers appear just above the leaves in summer. It’s ideal for alpine and rock gardens, and raising in containers.

Grow Thalictrum kiusianum in moist, humus-rich soil in full sun to partial shade. There’s no need to prune as it dies back completely in autumn. Will self-seed readily but divide congested clumps in spring.
