Lespedeza buergeri is a rarely-grown shrub with an arching habit. It bears delicate, three-lobed leaves, from which panicles of mauve-pink, pea-like blooms appear in late summer. Like all members of the pea family, its roots fix nitrogen to the soil and it can be grown to improve soil fertility.

Grow Lespedeza buergeri in well-drained soil in full sun. Not fully hardy, you may need to offer protection in harsh winters.
