Plant search

You can use the plant search to search for specific plants, or simply to browse for inspiration. At the top of every page on the Gardeners' World site you'll find a search box. Simply type the name of the plant you're looking for into the box and click go.

You can search in a number of ways, either by the common name of the plant ie Rose or by the latin name ie Rosa or even the full name of the plant, if you know it, ie Rosa alpina 'Alpine Sunset'.

You'll be presented with a list of plants that match your search. Scan the list to find the plant that you're looking for, and once you've found it, click on the plant name to be taken through to the plant detail page where you'll be give an overview of your chosen plant, as well as tips and advice on how to care for it.

You can also buy plants from the database, wherever you see the 'Buy from Crocus' button. Simply click on the button and you'll be taken to the crocus.co.uk website, where you can continue your shopping.

Wallpaper

You can choose an image to sit on your desktop from our selection of photos. Choose an image and double click on it with your mouse to enlarge it. As well as the enlarged image, you will also see 3 text links of screen size options for you to choose from. Click on the size that best fits your computer screen. Follow the instructions below for the web browser that's applicable to you:

Windows

To find out which size image best fits your computer screen, click on your Start menu, choose the Control Panel option and click on the Display option. Choose the Settings tab in the popup that appears and look for area marked Screen Resolution, where your screen size will be written in pixels.

Once you have selected your image size in the wallpaper screen, your chosen image will appear enlarged, right click your mouse on it and select the Set as Desktop Background or Set as Wallpaper option.

If neither of these options is available, choose the Save Picture As option, then select a folder and save your image(save the image to your desktop so it is easy to find). Then from the Start menu, go to Settings, Control Panel, Display, then Background - choose Browse, go to Desktop, then open your file and click OK.

Macintosh OS 9
